Machete attack in London

Nope. Or much of the other knife crime in London (but I get slammed for saying that)... the difference is that it was black on (military) white with a bit of Islam thrown in so a perfect storm for the media. Here is a happy link:

It's a pisser, ain't it? All those young lives gone, no doubt in the name of 'Respec'. No effing respect whatsoever, just cowardly shits who are so inadequate that they demand respect through fear and weapons. Pathetic.

But yes, it's very sad - and of course all completely unreported with little done to actually solve the problems. Youth opportunity: this is the real problem in the UK right now - not some random Islamic nut (who was also a function of a lack of opportunity)-- sadly that doesn't fire up the middle classes, BE posters, and newspaper sales quite so much.

I normally avoid the use of the word ‘God ‘ when I can, for the confusion it arises in the minds of some. This word has been massively abused. I’d rather, therefore, use the phrase ‘creator of Time and Space’. So mother nature is a delicate system of inter-related laws brought to existence by the creator. Atheists ‘s philosophy, on the other hand , implies that mother nature is an intelligent mechanism that has the power to reason.

All the evidence points to "Mother Nature" being a sociopath - if indeed it is sentient. It just does its own thing and couldn't give a toss what any creature thinks. There is also no evidence at all that "The Creator" still exists. Most likely, it wasted away eons ago. Why does anybody assume that it still exists?

To use an analogy, I was brought up a Sunderland fan. I was taken to the games, read each programme, told Newcastle were the devils own spawn and that there was no better club than Sunderland in the country.
Somehow I did manage to partially break free from these chains.

It's like RedShark can't compute the concept of no higher power at all. There is no ability to think 'ah, you don't believe in a big boss'. As an atheist, I can still imagine what it's like to believe in a higher power. Most other people on here can imagine their opposite's position.
The lack of ability to think is incredible.

Sod that. Who will fund our pensions if they all kill themselves.

But 'youth opportunity' in the UK means opening a community centre where kids can play 5-a-side and pool.
The kids also have to want to go.

That said - they also have to want to go so you are also right. Only one way to do that - chip away at the safety net.

I assume that a lot of places push these kind of things, but you can't capture everyone.
