Re: Low Carb diets
What about that Jollibee chain? Filipino, isn't it? And if Filipinos love it it can't be that great but how does it compare with the usual fast food joints?
A Jollibee opened at MoE a week or so ago, apparently. The Filipinos in my office in AD are planning a pilgrimage soon.

Just google Puka Beach (a beach on Boracay, and white beach maybe...but thats now Starbucks & Mcd's filled) the photos on google are exactly like that. Its stunning and nothing is there. Philippines is hit and miss, one moment you're thinking your in paradise, the next you smell rotten food on the streets.
The country is incredibly corrupt, and i believe that why it wont (nor can) progress.

Incredible place, some genuinely quality people too. Tragic that parts are so wonderful and other parts so poor.
I honestly don't understand the food problems with the Philippines. Bugger the fish, they ****ing love pork. It's all I ate for 2 weeks that I was there. Why would I eat anything else?

The basic issue there is that the country is run by people who stop maturing at the age of 14.
