Default Liwa - worth visiting?

Running through a few things on our list of things to do - is Liwa worth visiting?

Thinking of driving out to Qasr Al Sarab for lunch then back to AD for dinner. Is Moreeb really worth what looks like an extra two hours driving?

Thanks!

Why don't you try the Liwa Hotel? From there, you can check out Moreeb in about 20 mins. I love it and find it spectacular.

Is Qasr al sarab really 2 hours closer to AD than Liwa. It didn't take us long to get to Liwa at all from central Abu Dhabi: along the coastal motorway for an hour, then turn left for 40 mins or so.

Sorry it's about a 2.5 hour drive from AD. Moreeb is 20 mins from Liwa Hotel. QAS is about 1 hour away from Liwa.

Yes.

Although, I wouldn't' bother with the fly trap that is the Liwa hotel - camp, or stay in the posh one, or BBQ at the big dune. Long way to go for lunch though...
