You’re airport scrutiny? I knew it.

I assume you mean security.

You really need to work on your comebacks.

You must be the only one who has moved recently who hasn't got a decent drop!

I'm confident I could have got the apartment for 20% less than what you paid.

Does sound a bit pricey. My daughter just renewed her 2 bed in Marina heights for 85

on reflection you are probably right - having moved into the building - it's a brand new building and the apartments either side of me are empty. I should have pushed back a lot more.

Sorry. It really is a buyers market out there and you have to push until people weep to get the very best prices.

I moved into a brand new building last year (a 1 bed in Barsha 1 - nice building) - had a renewal letter come through the other week stating that the rent will be staying the same (it's managed by Betterhomes if that makes a difference).

Sent a reply highlighting the current market trend for rent, gave examples of other buildings nearby being cheaper, better quality buildings being cheaper blah bah blah - they're not going to budge. Even told them that in the building next door which is opening I can get a 2 bed cheaper than they're charging me for a 1 bed!

Some landlords just won't budge. I'm paying 72.5k.

Looks like I'm going to be moving. At least this year I haven't had to go to RERA (like the last 5 years).

Truth hurts buddy.

We're going to be moving when our contract is up. I was woken up by the family opposite doing Diwali things at midnight with their 3 year old. Also, coming home to find incense and candles burning in the lift lobby is just barmy.
