Libya then
Hi all
Apologies for being away for so long, now I'm back.
Before you ask, yes I have seen The Thread and have no comments, either via PM or in public.
Quick question, since being made redundant in December from the well known oil company (Mrs Haps knows) I have managed to secure a position in Libya.
Now I know it's a world apart from Dubai, being a dry country etc etc, just wondering if anybody has any experience of working there

Re: Libya then
I know a few guys who have worked there over the years and they loved it. If you are into historical sites and great beaches, you can't fault the place.
With the potential oil money and the gradual easing of society I reckon it would be a great opportunity. The bureaucracy can be a real pain (even worse than here), and if you are comfortable with being watched (certainly deters crime) then go for it.

Re: Libya then
I would suggest possibly waiting. I'm led to believe the dry rules will be relaxed later this year, and the odd bevvie or 2 will be available in new hotels currently being constructed
