His story sounds a little suspicious to me. I hadn't actually heard about him so did a google and apparently his story was found to be a little suspicious by NT Police as well. What he says about the Aborigines just doesn't ring true to me (unless it's the journalists twisting his words). Anyway, just to lose that much weight is a feat in itself I guess. Good luck to him. If he's gone to through that much agony just to invent a story for a book he deserves to make money from it.

And I was thinking that this guy became an instant celebrity just by the amount of publicity he's been getting...
