Lad I work with right.....
 
Dead nice, pakistani parents, born and raised over here, spent time in the US and lots of other countries, we educated, speaks 4 languages, married with a kid in a big house,

I asked him how he met his wife and he laughed and said 'oh she's my cousin',

erm, what?

well that makes no difference though, the kids could still come out with 9 arms.

Yeah I know, but happens all the time in any society. Start looking into your family tree and check out how many of your ancestors were actually related.

Cousins can marry in the UK.What is frowned upon is if this is repeated generation after generation whereby the risk of deformed births is greatly increased.
The % of British Pakistanis married to cousins is very high-@ 50% if I recall
-prolific in Midlands(Is Bradford Midlands?-case study I am thinking of).

first cousin marraige is legal but there have been a number of concerns raised recently
