when you say globally, do you mean across the region or actually globally? I ask as globally things are better than regionally.

Had to explain to Ollie that come Friday, following your advice, he might be off to Dr Zim to be put down. His life may have been short but it was fun. He looked at me with those heart melting bug eyes and agreed.

There was a complete hold on capex expenditure during 2017 and now in 2018 - unless the capex was needed to brought exclusively for a long term project/contract. Our budgets for 2018 are nowhere near the growth that we were expected to achieve in past years. But Alhumdulillaah, we've secured a fairly big contract with a company in Abu Dhabi and so that will keep us going, with smaller contracts in other regions. |

It's not. Everywhere else in the world might be, but the UK has got very low growth right now. As alluded to above, it may be that jobs are coming free because EU nationals are leaving.
Well, booming these days just means you end up paying more for everything. The main thing is that you are personally happy. |

Hmm. Pay more for everything, alright. Went and got my UAE driving licence tonight and had to pay AED 870 for the privilege. The website said 360. I also forked 200 out unnecessarily for photos and an eye test and got a letter of no objection from my employer.

See, probably wouldn't have happened in the UK and you would have paid what the website said. Despite so called low growth, you can be happy in the UK:nod:.

You know now that the possibility of leaving is out of the hat, you must be at least slightly excited to consider some new roles?
Something more at the cutting edge perhaps? See how things go, I may look at a VC fund - although have very limited experience in that sector. |

Made an appointment for their premier service in London a couple of years ago. I found it amazingly efficient. I was in and out in twenty minutes and picked up the passport later that day. You pay for the privilege, but it's not that much more than applying from overseas.
I've done the postal one from here to Liverpool and it was excellent. Done in a matter of about 2 weeks when the online thing said a minimum of 9. That's the kind of inaccuracy I can tolerate.
