i was at my friends house in Spring last weekend....New houses built on a golf course..very nice but the houseprices are unbeleivable...

5 bedrooms massive house for under $300,000....Christ my 2 bed riverside apartment in Dundeh cost more..

I couldnt believe it myself, I could have lived like a king and, TBH, wasnt too happy about coming away. The problem was the schooling sucked and the wife wasnt prepared to put up with that...

Yea I know what you mean.......

Mind you I quite like the outer Western suburbs........

American education is always going to be an issue - after all, look at Dubya......

And Houston airport was the first one in the world to tunnel UNDER runways - weird feeling when I first drove through that underpass and a 777 was taxiing over me...........

Out West, like Pearland, Sugarland, Katy etc?? We looked at that for a start then I realised how far I would have to drive (coupla miles from IAH on the Beltway) and decided to look North suburbs... Humble, Kingswood, Spring etc. The Woodlands was ok, picked because they claimed to have the bast ranked schools... Still sucked..lol
