this worked recently dxb to lax... and many other places
DXB to LAX?

That's the absolute opposite side of the world (12 hour time diff).

Which way do they fly - Pacificwards or Atlanticwards?

I think avoiding dehydration helps so drink a lot (of water!)

Doing some stretching or yoga when you get to your destination sometimes helps to, kind of refreshes your body and brain a bit.

I usually adjust my watch to the time at the destination...

Luckily that was holiday-related but this will be purely work.

Overnight tonight Bahrain-Dubai-Singapore, a couple of days there, then an 8-hour flight from Singapore to Sydney, two and a bit days there, and finally a FIFTEEN-hour night flight back from Sydney to Dubai, then Bahrain.

All in seven days.

I'm most concerned about falling asleep in an important meeting in Sydney sometime next Friday morning - or Thursday night Dean-GCC-time.

Any suggestions? (And don't bother suggesting 'avoid alcohol on the planes' - I will be drinking, at least moderately.)

Good job youre not a pilot then

I don't know how they do it.............

Come to think of it - they don't do it. I remember a documentary about how they are never at their best, switching on the autopilot so they can take a nap, etc..........

1. Fly with an airline that gives you a flatbed (Etihad Business is good)
2. Zanax or similar for sleeping
3. Coffee for staying awake

Try to adjust to local timezones as much as you can.

Have a fun trip.
