Jessica Ennis
There are three types of cock-ups at the Athletics World Championships:
1 - getting disqualified (Robles)
2 - false start (Bolt, Chambers, Ohourougu)
3 - throwing the javelin about as far as my mum could (Ennis)
Oh Jess, oh dear, oh dear.............

No idea who she is, but no doubt she will turn up in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother/Love Island/Hells Kitchen type crap

Not sure what exactly is wrong with throwing 40m in the javelin, eventually picking up a silver medal and finishing ahead of the winner in five of the seven events, but no doubt Mr.Dean will enlighten us.

She threw about seven metres below her personal best - the way the points scoring works in heptathlon (women) and decathlon (men), the throwing events have a disproportional effect on the overall score (positive or negative) - if you're going to mess up, do it in a jumping discipline.
She finished ahead in five events - so what? It's an event to determine the best all-round athlete; this year, she wasn't.
She's still brilliant though - I still reckon she's the likely winner in London next year.

Sadly, the delicious Alison wasn't taking part at this championship - nor was Melanie Adams...............
