I've had a change of heart

I am not coming to the Middle East. I've probably had too long to mull it over, but in the end, I decided I can't take being away from my family and I can't risk my health again. I had a little scare this weekend and it has made me take stock of these things. It just isn't a good time. I will stick out the job in Scotland until the end (about 6 months to go) and then see what happens.

I hope you can all manage without my maudlin, random witterings... ;)

No-ones listening mate, all ripping the shit out of each other (intellectually of course!!!) on the "most dangerous woman in Scotland" thread.

I hope nothing to serious, although a health scare does make you stand back and re-evaluate.

Sorry to hear about your problems, but if in doubt always, always choose the decision that feels right for you and your family above anything else. Good wishes for whatever your future brings and mind out for yourself.

I do feel bad, but I've heard of people changing their minds at the very latest minute.

I slept soundly last night for the first time in ages. My decision is the right one.

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the kind words. The medical scare was only small in the end, but it has potential to get worse in an environment like I would have been in. The whole thing just didn't sit right with me...maybe that's what brough this on. I feel 100% more at ease now. Still, as TGFKASE said, never say never.
