Interesting observation of the day
99.99% of Muslim women who wear the black headscarf are covering....identically coloured black hair.

Re: Interesting observation of the day
However it's nothing to do with hair colour and everything to do with perceptions that showing hair is immodest and tempting to men

Gulf Arab muslims? Check.
Indian Muslims? Check.
Pakistani Muslims? Check.
Indonesian Muslims? Check.
Malaysian Muslims? Check.
African Muslims? Curly but still black, so check.
Most Mediterranean Muslims? Check.
That leaves only a small minority of Balkan/Turkish/Caucasian as well as some Iranian Muslim women who might not have black hair.

That said there are loads of Muslims leaving Islam in the West as well...most keep quiet about it though - something about being killed by relatives tends to make it an unpopular move!

Re: Interesting observation of the day
Darling,
While I am quite cognizant of the simple fact that many Muslim women, particularly from the Mediterranean countries and Iran, wear coloured headscarves, my particular observation here has to do with those who wear exclusively the black headscarf.
Those who do so are likely from certain regions/countries where the dominant ethnic background means they have shiny black hair. I only pointed out that it is, from my particular perspective, amusing to "hide" your black hair by covering it with identically coloured black cloth.

We all got it...don't bother explaining to those who don't.

I still don't really get his point. Probably 25% or more are covering grey hair, which they may want to keep hidden in order to mask their true age. What about nuns and their black coverings?

More of the same nonsense. Mind you, as they tend not to wear a face full of make-up and hooker heels they are rather less hypocritical.
