"intelligent" traffic lights...
...ok, on the beach road (and this is the only place that this happens as far as i'm aware) there seems to be some sort of system on the traffic lights which means they don't turn green unless there are cars waiting to turn...
however, there is nothing telling people they have to be near the line so, loads of times, i've been in queues where the first person clearly isn't far enough forward, and the lights stay on red...it's only after a few missed sequences that people start hooting and the guy moves forward and it goes green next time...
how does this work, is it a ground sensor or something in the lights, does anyone know...? and why the hell don't they have a notice up telling people to be on the line or something...!
MM, xx

Run round the front o them with a glass of pink champus and dangle it till they move forward and hit the line then you can run back to your car and go!.....change the champus to a starbucks expresso if they dont drink!....
