Nope, sorry Norm.

Million pounds, kill the dog.

Justify it with euthanasia or anything, but c/would you do it?

A vet will do it for about 400 Dhm. Animals are always being put down, they're not like kids, you can just go out and buy a new one, or pick one up from a rescue place for free.

I could put an animal down if it was suffering. Have killed my own food before - if there's a reason I see no problem.

Killing for no reason is a bit iffy...hence up the money and throw in the car.

Actually screw it, I could save a hundred animals with the million and still have change for myself.

I always find it interesting how groups like PETA put down loads of animals every year but claim to care for them and protest medical research and people who wear fur (but never leather - it's not a good idea to throw red paint at Hells Angels).

Given that the dog probably can't swim due to its arthritis it would be a case of just letting go and walking back to shore when he was alseep. Not exactly a challenge.

Bash it over the head with a rock, or leave it to drown....same result.

You'd do it then?

In many cases animals are nicer than children.

When I was a kid I found a kitten on the street outside our house which had been mashed by a car but was still, barely, alive. I had to drown it in a bucket of water. Less traumatic than I expected to be honest. The poor thing could hardly breathe at that point anyway.

Can I have my million quid now please, Scamp?

No. You should kill an animal that's maimed or in agony. I've wrung many a pheasant neck.

Well, wrung or snapped. The latter made me go a bit squeemish but was a lot easier.

Here is my pathetic story. Found a mouse in one of those new plastic snap traps, only half dead(crushed), rushed it to a toilet for a quick flush, dropped it in only to find the toilet out of order. Poor thing was swimming in right circles. I ran off to find a five gallon bucket to refill the reservoir so I could flush the poor thing... By the time I had returned it had slowly drowned:( Yes I've gone soft.

You generally find the same thing under a ponytail when you lift it up as you find under an animals tail ;)

My Cat once brought a mouse home - she had broken its back so it was crawling around on its front legs only. I couldnt face doing the job myself so I took it to an all night vet to have it put down. (the mouse, not the cat)

You win. Taking a pest to the vet requires a real effort.
