That iconic bridge in sunderland

Ku Club, Annabelle's (I never minded Annabelle's), Fino's, that bar where the bar-birds were in bikinis - Idols, Boulevard.
I'm showing my age now!
Seem to recall it was a lot more violent than The Toon ever was.

Fino's on a Thursday night wasn't bad, Annabelle's was a dump though never liked that place.

Chambers was it? Add to the mix Marlowes and Fat Willy's Surf Shack (I think) near the Empire.

Thanks for Chambers, went there a lot but couldn't remember the name. Last time I had a night in Sunderland I got a fractured skull and broken jaw. Not been out since.

I'm sure someone on here was working on the design or something.
Anyway, it's been cancelled.

(Wouldn't surprise me if Pardew does too btw - it's his birthday today, wonder whether JFK and MA sent him a card)?

I think its a nice looking structure to be honest.
I am sure they could have built tower bridge on the cheap but a nice bit of design goes a long way
Still them not building it saves me from ever having to go and see it or is that gaan and see it
Yes a closet bridge spotter with a bald head, beer belly etc

Blue Cat do you remember The Tuxedo princess..The floating nightclub?
Its berthed on the tees now, right next to The riverside stadium, its a rust bucket now and looks like it will sink at anytime..a right eyesore.
And I mean the boat not the stadium before you lot say anything

Sorry Scamp, didnt see your post..it was the Tuxedo princess or Royale I think it changed its name quite a few times over the years.
We here at Middlesbrough have The Bongo International still going strong, it makes " The boat" look like a luxury cruise liner.

Tuxedo Princess and Royale were two different ships, Royale being the second and larger one - Wiki. Depending on where the tide was in it's cycle the ROyale used to lean heavily North, weirdly enough most of the bars were on that side so you'd stagger towards them.
