Just use your common sense MH, it isn't that difficult actually. Just don't go into overkill on information. If I can put 30+ years of info on a single A4 you can to being 21

Good point Dutchie, I used to use quite a long one but then read a study that said usually people sifting through CV's only read the first two pages so I condensed everything into two pages. This is a very popular approach in the US apparently and I have to say one of their better contributions to western society (Along with commercially supplied electricity and root beer).

standard practice in the UK to limit it to max 2 pages.
In France you have to compress it into 1.

MH is just lucky she won't have to put her photo on a CV here

Hahaha... Jolly Joker!!! A long time ago I used to work as a HR manager. And sometimes I would get job application letters in with a CV attached covering more then 10 pages! No manager has the time to read through that much info. Overkill causes the most irritation levels. So bikini girl called MH? One page! It impresses the hell out of a manager.

Hello MH.. not sure if this will help you or not, but when i began job hunting in Dubai I googled CV + Dubai + samples + Paramedic and was able to merely edit my job history and dates and add a few things. I was offered both jobs so far. Prior to my days in EMS i was a head hunter for a couple of employment agencies. Keep it down to 1 page, no more than 2. And I can tell you 80% of getting a job is personality, eye contact and being attractive plays a huge part of course. If you do infact get an interview and you want the job always close the interview with this question " Do you have any reservations about my ability to do this job ?" If they say no, then ask " Great, when do I start ? " Best of luck to you, what kind of experience do you have? I would be happy to help you with your search.

if any of the people i've interviewed for jobs had ever asked that, they would have just blown it on the last hurdle...

We never had any complaints... matter of fact feedback from the respective employers liked the assertiveness. It has worked for me as well If however I need to apply for a job or recommend someone your way I will remember that

you mean questions ? it's not a rehearsed question but rather closing the interview to see if in fact your qualified and could be the person for the job and also to find out without directly asking the interviewer if they are the " decision maker" That is an open ended question, a great sales technique and we are selling ourselves when interviewing. Often it is at that time when you learn that a second interview by someone else is required.

yeah, i meant rehearsed questions or answers...as i said, they wouldn't have worked for me, but maybe in some industries they are considered acceptable...
