I was going to order a chinese take away .....
 

.... 2 starters, 3 main courses, 1 rice, 1 noodles and a side order of bok choy, when I added it up it was going to be 612dhs!! FFS!!!! over 100 pounds for a take away for 2 people???.... I made omelettes!! :frown:

It was the Peacock at the Sheridan. and the others I checked, The Summer Place at the Mertopolitian was 515 and the Royal Orchid at the Marina was 450.

So if anybody knows a nice Chinese close to Al Barsha please let me know.

Soy in JBR is pretty good, but they are actually a sister company to the Royal Orchid in the Marina (deliveries have come in Royal Orchid bags before and it's the same menu)... around 50AED for a main.

I was so spoilt by our local chinese in the UK

My friends who live in Al Barsha 3 order from China Garden (04 325 6682). I've tried it & it's quite nice and prices OK too. :)

I am keeping my mouth firmly shut, having just enjoyed a delicious Chinese seafood dinner at Dhs65 per head, including rock lobster...not Al Barsha, needless to say.
