natural death- is there a prefered way? to die suddenly in your sleep at a ripe old age having kept all your faculties etc. It isn't dieing that scares me- it is part of life after all, it is loosing my marbles and the control of my body that scares me the most. I have a living will in the uK I don't know if you can have an equiavlent here?

Everybody has a living will (leaving those who are thinking to commit suicides), whether it is U.K or not U.K.

Preferred way? the preference is in your hands right now, I suppose. If you keep yourself healthy to stay away from reasons of dying that scare you, you might die of the reason of your choice....

A living will in the UK is a legal document regarding your wishes to health treatment, in the event that I suffer brain damage or severe spinal damage I am not to receive treatment, be artifically fed or have my life supported.

I disagree with you that life is in your hands- life is precious and can be snapped away from you so you should live every day as if its your last. How you die is irrelevant its how you live that is important!

For some reasons and up to some extent, it is...in your hands!
