That's because NuLabour lurched to the right to make themselves electable. Fact is, the centre-left vote is split between LD and Labour. If they got their act together they could keep the Eton boys out of power forever. Whoever wins, electoral reform is almost inevitable...and can't come soon enough, IMO.

I don't expect them to be given a 'captive audience' at all during the run-in to a general election........... unless of course all the parties have the chance to address them as well.

National Health Care is not important? Let me tell you about the alternative. My wife has some health issues..One day she was feeling bad, she feels bad a lot. She goes to the local doctor often and a $110 later they tell her she'll be fine, and they send her home. So on this day she said her chest was tight..I told her if she goes to the doctor exaggerate everything..Tell him your having trouble breathing..My wifes a real mouseburger and I think she goes in there and says "oh its not so bad"- So I told her to exaggerate all her symptoms then maybe they might do something for you...
45 minutes later I get a call from her, she's in an ambulance speeding to the hospital, they think she's having a heart attack..When I get to the hospital they tell me they ran a bunch of tests on her and everythings fine, she just has high blood pressure and should go see our local doctor cause she may need to go on blood pressure medication. I had to write the emergency room a $11,000 check, and later got a bill for the ambulance for $2100...All for nothing. You can buy a car here for $13,000

I didn't think they would even take your pulse in the US without health insurance or pre authorised payment.
