We now get £2k into the bank here each month, so whatever that converts to when it gets transfered is what we will live on. That will include utilities, which we budget 1,000dhs for. That is for 4 of us.

i think i'm missing something here...what does it matter who saves/spends what, unless you are comparing lifestyle with lifestyle, it's irrelevant...

What on earth are you spending it on!? :rofl: I'm around 13k, but we own the cars. I can only think that if I was leasing the two then it would around 23k? We own one car and one year off paying the other one, but that only affects the budget by 3.5k. Restaurants, parties and entertaining take a big chunk as does holiday accommodation. Other than going to Jordan next month, i will attempt a 10k month. Blimey, can't believe i wrote that... Edited to say, please don't think of me as a nob just someone who is useless with money. It does drive my husband barmy. |

Actually I'm in the second category thanks primarily to my weekly massages, daily bottle of wine and extortionate DEWA bills. This month it was well over Dhs1,800...:eek:
