A bottle of scotch a fortnight; I like a glass of an aged single malt scotch when I get home from work. I usually drink it slowly (always neat) whilst I open the days mail and answer my personal emails. I look forward to that drink on my commute home. The cork stopper being removed from the scotch bottle is always a satisfying sound. I really enjoy a good quality scotch (can you hear me salivate).
Sometimes I will open a bottle of white (a dry white 'quality' doesn't really count for my palate, so long as it is dry it is usually great; although I am also partial to a red Rioja too). The significant other does not drink, so if the bottle is opened it is usually consumed by me that same night. I don't really drink beer. Some people say you drink to forget, but I can't remember who said that . . . . .
