Please don't class me as a beggar. If I have to pay Dhs4.5K for a hotel apartment in Dubai then I will do so. Just trying to offer British Expats the chance to make a few quid rather than lining the pockets of the hotel industry. Perhaps I shoouldn't have bothered. Looking forward to going home.

It's a good time of year for a nice long camping trip. Check out the Omani mountains one last time.

Re: House-Sitting Offer
My work finishes on 31st Dec but we are not flying home until 9th January because we need time to process my wife's settlement visa. It takes 60 days. My boss says we can keep the company car until we fly home but our villa tenancy expires on New Years Eve.

Have you tried asking your landlord if you can extend for 10 days? You can make a private agreement.

I am surprised no one would be interested. A chap I work with is putting his 2 dogs into kennels over Xmas so the family can go to Thailand so that would be a saving in itself plus happier dogs
