Horrible Bosses
Couldn't agree more with this article
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...t-phrases.html My old boss used to say 50 times a day, "Have you spoke with him? Have you touched base with all of your clients?" Hugely frustrating What winds you up at work..? |

Re: Horrible Bosses
I really don't see what's wrong with the phrase 'going forward' and why it seems to annoy people so much - it's simply appropriate English usage as an alternative to 'from now on'. It's hardly 'engineering a dynamic infrastructure'
And I think the people coming in when ill thing is totally unfair - I'm sure anyone who has worked in an office will be aware that the people who b*tch about people 'spreading their germs' will be the first to be snidy about anyone who stays off when they 'only have a cold'. |

Re: Horrible Bosses
There was one woman I worked with who never told us what she was doing. I was forever having to tell her to touch base with her clients and check to see if she had spoken with people. Thankfully, she moved to Doha.
