I know it would cost a fortune to fill the Mustang up there.

Reminds me of a 3.8l Buick hire car I had in Houston on a biz trip. It cost the same to fill the tank on that as it did to fill the tank on my Fiat Panda in France. And I think the tank on the Buick was the same size as the entire Panda!

In Cellophane - I know the feeling. Back when I was a poor UK resident I was driving a 1.0l 10 year old Austin Metro (they werent even ROVER Metros in those days). Not the best car to drive from North Wales to Newcastle in but much cheaper on petrol than something with a bit of oomph.
