Hatta Fort Hotel
Well we went up there Friday lunchtime and spent the night there, came back tea timeish the next day - tell you what, if you fancy getting away from the dust, noise and crazy driving oof Dubai I'd highly recommend it,
the hotel itself is ok, 4 star but the service is great, all staff dead friendly - they have a residents/quiet pool so no kids shouting and screaming (there is another 'family pool' on site for kids), we just lazed around the pool, had some food and then had a bottle of pink champagne before heading out for cocktails and got a great nights sleep as its so peaceful up there,
oh....and you get PROPER blue skies there as well,
AED 1,100 a night - I reckon we'll be back again, worth every penny if you just want to hav ea relaxing time.

glad you had a good time. Have they still got that aviary in the hotel? last time I was there there were millions of little birds in there, was really cute! another nice one to try is Jebel Hafeet Hotel in Al Ain. Some will disagree with me of course. It isn't a 5 star hotel but it is built ontop of a mountain, you can hear a pin drop!! nice for a quiet break. It is pretty cheap about 450 a night I think. It has only been open a few years. Worth a trip out in my opinion.
