Happy Days!
No - not the show...
The U.S. Masters is on from tomorrow!:D Hoping fox sports (or showtime) sorts out their coverage though as the coverage of the par 3 tourney on now keeps pausing:frown: |

Now it's called professional golf.............." So, Tiger then................ |

Re: Happy Days!
Whilst it's a shame for his wife and family, I think this whole episode has made Tiger seem a little more human that the automaton he was before.
It'll be interesting to see how this affects his game over the next few days though, but he looks relaxed if anything. It'll also be interesting to see how he reacts on good/bad shots, as he's said he won't react as 'passionately' as before. Not sure if he used this particular word, but it seems to fit nicely. |

I don't understand why atheletes shouldn't react passionately.
Except when I play, but then it's usually frustration and temper tantrums. |

Can't believe he never won a major.....poor bas.tard. |
Re: Happy Days!
Woods was always an obnoxious stroppy self-interested git..............
In a sport that once saw gentlemen like Nicklaus, Palmer, Player and Watson shine, he's an embarrassment. Did anyone else follow his whingeing round of petulance at Dubai about 3 years ago? :frown: |

Can't believe he never won a major.....poor bas.tard. And how great to see Couples at the top of the leader board, in my view one of the true nice guys of golf. And that swing, if Freddie was any more laid back he would be comatose..... Good to see Westie and Poulter both doing well. Tiger going well. Some great shots for some one that hasn't played competitive golf for 20 weeks..... Looking forward to tonights coverage.... |

I expect good conduct from public figures. Full stop. End of. |

So what?
I expect good conduct from public figures. Full stop. End of. They're just human. The number of people that know you doesn't change who you are. Sure - being in the public eye would make you aware you might have to try to behave yourself, but this idolising musicians, sports people etc is the fault of the masses....and we don't even idolise them for their talent anymore...we follow their every move, their girlfriends / boyfriends, wives, kids, their arguments, break ups, fashion sense etc etc etc it's just nuts. Being able to get a golf ball in a hole doesn't make you a role model as a person. |

I expect good conduct from public figures. Full stop. End of. I would certainly prefer that. To paraphrase Spiderman - with great fame comes great responsibility. - |

Aye, I really wish the likes of George Best and Keith Richards had been nice, sensible boys.

Also WTF was going on the Tiger off the tee; hooks, slices, fat and thin, a calamatous montage of amateur mistakes .... I am not a huge fan of Mikelson but got to admit FIGJAM did play some good golf. The chip at 12 was class and the shot off the pine needles at 13 was just amazing ..... After the year he has had it is hard to begrudge him the win.... |

 With a more 'conventional' private life, might they have been even better than they were (or 'are', in KR's case)? |

You had to be somewhat impressed with Tiger after going from 8 under to 5 under and then getting back to 11 under even with a missed tap-in......but we was garbage off the tee.

I heard Tigers wife has finally decided to dump him after finding out he was visiting a 22 year old nieghbor girl..That was the last straw. Why can't wives understand that it's just sex..Tiger did'nt care for those other women. There's a difference between sex and love. |
