Got to laugh,"Why isn't it cold?"
Went to pick up one of my kids earlier and he asked me why it wasn't cold. Had to laugh at that. Temperatures have just hit the mid 20s for the first time this year after what has been quite a long winter, cold for a good few months.
Not a question I thought I would be asked when I moved to Saudi.

Starting to heat up in the UAE. April would be a good month to return to the UK for good just in time for summer

It's been an awesome winter, been much cooler for longer I'm sure.
Nice at the moment, still no AC in sight, apart from occasionally in the bedroom, I like it to be cold.

I regularly walk past the car park security in my building in shorts and t-shirt and they have jackets, gloves and scarves on, even a balaclava once.
Playing football a few weeks ago in Jebel Ali and a couple of the expats were complaining about the cold, it’s was 20 degrees with a light breeze! It reminded of playing at home during a rainy winter, when the rain was freezing on the astroturf pitch and it literally became a sheet of ice. Or, when after it had snowed there’d be 3ft piles of snow piled up round the side of the pitch, shoulder charging someone into those never got old.

This winter is the first I have actually felt cold.
Now, one part of me enjoys feeling cold at 15-20 degrees, it's strange, but an example of adapting I guess.
Another part of me wants to call myself a soft wanker and to remember I used to wear shorts to the shop when it was 0 or -2 etc.

It's spiked the last 3 days in Riyadh. Getting in a car that's been sat in the sun is like opening an oven door.

Record low of -2 or something like that. Lot of wind chill when it's windy too.
