Wolf of Wall Street 7/10 Too long and really needed some editing. I didn't like the glamorisation of Jordan Belfort and his vile practices. Far from Scorsese's best film and I think it's being overly-hyped.
American Hustle 6/10 Bit rambling and incoherent, but some good performances. Flaws regarding gambling and sheikhs and irritatingly pronounced throughout as 'sheeks'.
About Time 7/10 A Richard Curtis film so you know what to expect but it was quite sweet.
Captain Phillips 9/10 Didn't really fancy this but it's the best film I've seen in a while. Superb performances. Recommended.

Just watched 'Wolf of Wall St' and agree with everybody that it's about an hour too long. Whilst I thoroughly disliked the characters - there wasn't even one I remotely liked - I could see why Leonardo DiCaprio is being touted for a cleanup at the Oscars.
He acted his heart (and probably his soul) out. At least I hope he was acting....

You need to find a version with subtitles or much of it won't make sense. Copies with the subtitles are out there.
