Golf addicts in Riyadh????
Hi Guys (and Girls)
I was wondering if there are any golfers out there who can tell me about the golfing scene in Riyadh. I have only been in country for 7 days so any information would be really appreciated.
Thanks!!

Relatively well served.
Two championship courses. Dirab to the south west and Riyadh Greens to the north. Dirab the better track (hosted the MENA tour earlier this month) but Riyadh Greens is also good with a decent driving range.
In town there's a 9-hole floodlit par 3 at the Intercon. Some v short holes and a bit naff. Greens are good though.
There's another 9 holer and driving range at Arizona compound which is a good test

not 100% sure but weekend rates could be 50 quid upwards on the two decent courses.
20 quid for a 9 at the Intercon. 25 quid for a 9 at the Arizona sounds about right.
One thing I am sure of is the charge of 100 riyals per day to use the range and all other practice facilities at Riyadh Greens. They don't do buckets of balls any more. Min 100 riyals. Free use if you have a round booked though.
There's usually free Middle East golf mags at the courses which list out all the courses in the region.

Arizona does a membership thing too - don't know how much for the year, but once signed up, I think the green fees are very low, might even be free?
