We went to Kempinski in Ajman on the weekend, pretty cheap and okish hotel - but full of gonabit people who got in cheap, the pool was full of lebs who were hammered and loads and loads of people were complaining.

We spoke to the manager and he tells us they make almost nothing from the gonabit deals as it was AED 800 for a room for the night and 3 meals, and gonabit take a 30% cut of that.

Must say Im a bit over these deals, I booked the Ajman Kempinski deal with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday - so 5 rooms in total and when we tried to book it they were fully booked on the weekend we wanted as they limit the number of rooms etc so it was a real palava getting dates where we could all go. And yes full of lebs by the pool so we went to the beach which was fine, and also full of locals in the bar drinking in their dishdashes- never seen it so blatantly before! I guess if something sounds too good to be true it generally is, but anyway we still hd a fun weekend. And teh shipwreck on teh way to Ajman is amazing so glad i saw that

Gonabit though there offers aren't as good as they were pre Living Social Buy out, Groupon
