National Express bus. You can buy a ticket in advance or when u r there. Usually takes one hour. Buses (coaches) leave every 30 minutes. I have done this journey LOADS.

keeping in mind that on the gatwick end it's a major bunfight to get on the bus, and a few times I've had to wait for another bus to come along.
It's a horridly unorganised affair at LGW, with typical national suppress (ops, sorry, express) level of customer service...

Thanks.
We used to live pretty close to Gatwick Airport (Creepy Crawley) and a taxi to Heathrow would have cost us about fifty-sixty quid (from memory). Check out the National Express website, they do airport transfers.

Hope this helps;

Thanks to everybody for their tips and info.
So far I think my husband will want to use a taxi, it is a business or better said trip for a job interview, so expenses will be paid.

At 6am the trip could be done in 45 minutes, more likely an hour or so.

HI

Taxi/bus anything by road is going to take lot of time early in the morning as we are having sub zero temp .Visiblity is very low.

Check whether your air ticket includes gatwick express train service or not.

if not take normal train from gatwick to london victoria then to heathrow...

www.nationalrail.co.uk .You can get your train time/ticket price etc ...

www.tfl.gov.uk for london tube...

search for gatwick/heathrow express train service in google

I am daily commutator via LGW
