I always thought the role of the moderator was to stay impartial, and basically resolve any arguments that occurred - i.e. a Policeman of the board.
As such, i would have thought he would have to stay out of discussions/arguments etc.?
In which case, what a great decision - no-one could be more worthy of having a gag put on them.

I jokingly posted an avatar that was a picture of an intimate part of a woman's body.......... mainly as I had been called a rude version of that earlier (for the first time in my life, as far as I know). Its not easy being a mod, and some forums are more difficult to moderate than others it would be nice if you gave us all some slack. Poor GarethR has only been one for less than 24 hours. How about giving him a chance.
