Friends...

Re: Friends...
Even my 5 yo enjoys it - remember the Hotel Inspectors/Basil and the rat episode...omg, that had me in splits. My kid used to watch it at least 3-5 times a day! One of those comedies you can watch again and again and still find it funny....

Re: Friends...
1. The series failed to include an African-American actor in its roster.
2. Most of the jokes delivered are in some form of irony, never directly saying what they mean.
3. The whole setup of 6 friends living together platonically is a bit difficult to relate to with some minorities.
Just my opinion...

- "Failed" to include an African-American actor on it's roster? What utter nonsense..the show is about a group of friends in New York - what does it matter what ethnicity the actors are?
- OK so the jokes were ironic - isn't that a matter of personal taste?
- Agreed - at least on a cultural level...but it was set in New York when many different ethnic groups share a common culture and get along just fine-in some areas anyway
In any case the show was a product of it's time, highly commercialised and often shallow with a broad appeal....in other words not that good
