Default French train attack

Kudos to the guys that stopped the nutter. Total respect for their act of selflessness.

And what were the odds? Two guys with the knowledge, training and ability to do what they did, on the same train, same day, same carriage, faulty AK47... Jeez.

Very brave young men. What a massacre that could have turned out to be. I've been on that train route with my two children when they were teenagers. Very scary thought of that happening while locked in a speeding train.

Pity we cannot carry weapons around to be honest. If that gun hadn't jammed they'd all be dead.

luckily for them keeping your gun clean probably wasn't put much emphasis on in terrorist school..

No, no: the guns had been left unattended in a playground, he just found them...

ah right so it was an attack that happened just because the opportunity presented itself when the guns were found...

Fair play to the gents involved. Properly heroic act and I bet they just reacted without thinking about themselves.

Nice to see the French really beating the drum about them too.

Very quick to react and award each of them the Legion d'honneur, and deserved.

AK's can withstand treatment most modern guns would not but they still suffer badly from not being cleaned on a regular basis.

People always blame the ammo. It's the same as saying you only got pissed because you were trying to avoid drowning, and not from actually drinking the booze...

Even more so considering that the first guy to take action was a university professor.

Nice to see someone remembers that a British guy was involved, all the news just seems to concentrate on the US guy`s.
Also nice to see the UAE Forces in Yemen behind the release of a UK hostage in the Yemen.
