Not sure who has the most inept legal system in the world, but Italy must rank pretty high.

She's guilty.

I actually applaud this because they know she is guilty, she knows that she's guilty.

Only problem is the Italians can't prove that she's guilty.

Hang her.

OK 1 guilty verdict soo far, who else?
A Poll maybee?

Did the Italians ever administer a Polygraph? I barely paid any attention to the story so don't recall.

Take my chances that she wouldn't try and make me scream by slashing my throat, after I made her scream ;)

I reckon you'd need to bust out your 'special occasion moves' on her Scamp lad .

She's got more moves than a Japanese racing snake . I reckon she does a right turn .

Have you ever seen a woman in the press that you think is more cunning, untrustworthy and venemous?

Yeah, definitely....until you consider those odds.

Then only because there's a 50% chance to say I had.

Butting in from Italy here. :D Italian legal system apart, this is something I've seen before when US citizens are involved. Found guilty, America balks at one of their citizen in prison here. No problem, overturn the sentence on appeal. Off they go home. US is happy. Italy is happy that the US is happy. :( Then a retrail is ordered. Though it's not a retrail in the UK sentence. The accused does not have to be present and nor will she be. My opinion, of course.;)

Bit anti-American and sexist all of this. What about Rafael Sollecito? Don't see anyone mentioning if he is hot and sexy, whether he might slash your throat in bed, or that an Italian was actually involved. Is she more culpable than him because she is a pretty American woman?

Pretty or not, male or female, doesn't matter. Being American matters. The Italian gov thinks of the US as their best friend.:(

Raffaele Sollecito also faces re-trail so no, Fox is not more culpable. If anything, his position is worse, because he cannot leave Italy. Fox also has another sentence for defamation.

Anti-American? Anything but I would have thought considering she only got off after he yanks started acting all concerned that one of their citizens was actually being done for murdering out of the country. I guess they like to keep all the murdering for home.

Also what the hell has looks got to do with anything? Especially in Italy where the average woman looks like a goddess...

Oh my giddy Aunt...
Since the reunification in the 19 th C,nothing is kosher.
Stop looking for logic and/or truth from a country renowned for facsism,
duplicity and la costa nostra.Any nonna is up for grabs for the price of a....
margherita.
Haven't even started on Benedict (retired) or Belusconi yet.
Probably a smokescreen while the EU ' Borgias' do a number similar to Cyprus.
She is guilty anyway IMHO.

Interesting point about government-less Italy and the EU............ don't rule out (as you say) a Cyprus-style intervention because while no-one is looking they are increasing their deficit by the day..........

Any chance she did a deal with the judge on the percentage of her book deal? Book due out next month. Foxy Noxy couldn't have dreamed for better publicity.

But how can they do a retrial? She's been freed and is innocent and now they think they did a crap job so they want a retrial?

Anyway, no matter what happens there's no way the US would send her back.
