Default Film Cuts

Ok, so just had a chill out day watching telly today, so had Shrek on- I know its a kids film but I love it- anyway they have cut the Shrek and Fiona kiss scenes out- now its not that I was wanting some cartoon porn or anything but seriously what is the point in cutting a kissing scene out of a cartoon?

They seem quite happy to show graphic horror films at 7am in the morning but god forbid an ogre finds true love and kisses his future wife- obviously going to corrupt young minds- seriously???

The other film I have noticed a lot of cuts in was love actually- they cut about 30 minutes out of the film!

Anyone else noticed any OTT cuts?

ALmost everything on MBC, I just don't watch it, they cut all the kissing, sex and swearing - what's the point?

Caught the end of the full monty last week and it got halfway through the act before they ripped their trousers off and it finished. Pretty much defeated teh whoel point of the film.

Kitty,

Go over to the Choithrams in the Greens. When you come out of the supermarket into the lobby area you will see a large movie poster in the middle of the space advertising the latest Ashton Kuchter movie. I forget the name but the image shows Kuchter undressed in bed, barely covered by the sheets, and his filly standing by the bed wearing nothing but what's clearly his shirt.

The title: 'Friendship has its benefits.'

Talk about *****ing hypocrisy in this country.

I recently experienced precisely the opposite. One of the networks (here, not back in the UK) recently showed The Hangover.

Only while watching that did I realise that the Chinese guy who gets locked in the car boot is actually naked - in the version I originally saw, he had his knickers on.........

Look up the word 'hypocrisy'.

A film poster getting past the censors is a good thinkg, in my book.

I always ask the video store guy for something with drugs, ****ing and violence.

KC- horror films at that hour are outrageous. They dop need to think carefully about what's on at what time- ogres kissign aren't nearly as bad for young minds as some other stuff I've seen on TV at the mall.
