I learnt years ago that the only time one should go to Barnasty is when already hammered, E.g. after a brunch (when in reality you should be going home). Then its actually OK. All other times its horrific.
Such a shame as back in the day (before they extended it 5 times) it was actually pretty decent.

I am proud to say that after almost 8 years living here, I am still a Barasti virgin. Never been there.
Matter of fact I am also a Burj Khalifa Virgin, never been up it either, although I did once go to the Armani Hotel inside it but I think that was on a pretty low floor so doesnt count in my books.
If I do venture to a bar and if Im alone, I just love to sit and watch people. Apparently there are quite a few youtube channels out there of people doing exactly that, people watching. And some of them are fascinating to watch, like dodgy bars in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippine etc
