**** me, not this old question again.
It must be christmas...
Nobody, they would likely not live up to my expectations.
As they say, never meet your hero's.
At a push, I'd invite Chrissie Wellington.

According to Wiki... in September 2004 Wellington took sabbatical leave to work in Nepal for Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN), a Nepalese development NGO. Based in the capital, Kathmandu, she managed a community-led total sanitation scheme in Salyan, a conflict-affected district in the west of the country...sounds like a reasonably interesting dinner companion. Most of the famous people I would like to meet are dead and buried, but Michael Palin would probably be my choice simply because of the stories he could tell.

I'd invite my gg Grandfather. He's a bit of an infamous character in early Australian history. He was a doctor and was jailed a number of times for bigamy, malpractice and other crimes. He had at least three wives that we know. There are so many family stories about him but nothing can be proven, I'd like to sit down and find out what the real man was really about and why in his 60's and 70's he could still find women in their late teens and early 20's willing to marry him and bear him a tribe of children. He was smart enough to name all the children to the various women the same names though so he didn't have to remember which kid went with which wife.
