Apparently there was some sort of Cirque du Soleil thing from cranes and a fireworks show last year. I missed most of this though as my friends and I were more concerned about getting out of there before the masses did!

Yes it was Vanessa Mae, I left shortly after that for the same reason, its a shame the Dubai World Cup is the last race, last year the organisation for parking etc and even getting dropped of in a taxi was terrible, I said I wouldnt go again but here I am looking forward to it.

you're right, never been ...... yet I am off the horse racing at the minute, a horse died on Friday and I know it is stupid and I will get slated for it big time but you know what it really upset me

I will watch the World Cup on the telly though

probably not it's just me, I cried all afternoon, it was just awful to see it happen right in front of you spoke to friend of mine who is well into horses and he said that he was surprised I have never seen it happen before.
