Dubai Meet Up - Early October?

OK OK, as the new, green horn, Mod and never having managed to attend any other meet up I think it's incumbent upon me to start the ball rolling. Date, I was thinking the beginning of October?

30 Sep 4,5,6,7 Oct ok for me, but I'd prefer a Thu or Fri (ie 4 or 5 Oct).

If I got it right last time the issue was around which bit of Dubai to have it, new or old, hence the compromise with Stables kind of in the middle on the SZR. What was the particular problem with this venue?
