The crowd was made up of three sets of fans - Sunderland fans wanted Newcastle to win to help the Rokerites go up, Newcastle fans wanted Brighton to win to keep Sunderland down, and Brighton fans wanted the Seagulls to win, which they did!
Only time we've ever been up to the top tier. Close last year but Poyet cocked it up.

Aye mate , great goal and deserved it to be honest . They just wanted it more , never seen that result coming mind .
The press and fans are after blood now on Tyneside after yesterdays result. The law of averages said we had to beat someone and it just happend to be the 'Two Bob Mob' from up the road !
