Corona Skills

Re: Corona Skills
I'm doing Arabic on the same app - still on the free version of course! Original intent was just to be able to read road signs etc but I'm a bit deeper in now. Other half is doing French. Which is useful so we can help each other. Some of the Arabic pronunciation is iffy and the course does need to be supplemented by some basic work, like practicing out the alphabet, so I'm fortunate to have some home tuition though I guess that could easily be found on the internet also. The linked tips and forums in the app are also fairly useful, if not essential, as many things are not explained. The new alphabet does give it a puzzle aspect. I tend now to try and decipher Arabic text that I see and it is rewarding when the squiggles start to become words though I'm still at a point where I have to go through a word character by character to figure it out.
If I finish this I'm planning on Spanish next where at least I have some foundation and can read the alphabet!
Obsessive gardening is the other thing that has taken over.

Well I do like to multi-task. And we should all be familiarising ourselves with epidemic science - it's our future! But I really didn't think anybody - least of all you - read my lengthy posts.

I bought all the ingredients to make some thermite a few years ago, including magnesium ribbon. Maybe now, five weeks in to SD & lock-down, is the time to make some.

Re: Corona Skills
Update time. This was all posted ages ago. What's happened since?
I haven't started reading at all. Need to do it though, have a couple of good ones to go for though. Just moving house has pushed everything to one side.
Puzzles - I've got a 7pack to work through but not started yet.
I don't have any updates on Millhouse's swingball skills, I expect they're mad good but have been hampered by the heat.
I started making bread. I made some white loaves. They were good. Not as nice as shop bought sourdough / country bread things though. They look tough to make though.
Built it yet?
Como tá indo?
كيف تجري الامور؟
Afternoon all,
Has anyone used this supposed increase in free time to master any new skills?
Anyone brought in some good habits?
I'm trying to read more. I haven't started but will.
I've realised how much I enjoy a good puzzle and that will never change.
Millhouse has mastered swing-ball (classic game, much respect).
Anyone started baking bread or cakes or anything? (I'd like to do the bread one, maybe this weekend).
Anyone started anything else interesting?
Who can be an inspiration?
Or are we all just lying down in front of Netflix?

Brushing up on my Portuguese!
plenty languages on this link, 15 mins a day and I'm seeing a difference already.

Like the ROKR idea, away to google that now.

Nice. Achieved much else?
Weirdly, all three could be for both.
