Are you having a blonde moment? Of course I know that Souq Al Bahar is in the Downtown area, hence my question why go there when not a single person voted for it. I have never heard of Leftbank, though. It's evidently a bar, presumably somewhere in Souq Al Bahar but no idea where exactly. Can anybody enlighten me?

Oldtown is an area within Downtown.
Downtown Burj Khalifa (formerly Downtown Burj Dubai) is a clearly identifiable tract of land, a mini-masterplanned community in its own right. The burj is at the centre with the mall and lake around it, and it includes Burj Views, Burj Lofts, 8 Boulevard Walk, Southridge and Old Town. Business Bay is not part of Downtown, it is its own separate mini-masterplanned area. Downtown is entirely developed by Emaar and as of now there's no road connection between Emaar's precious Downtown and Business Bay (separate developer) but that will change in the short future.
Old Town is the mock Arab style complex of apartments, shops and hotels on both side of Emaar Boulevard. Souk al Bahar is in Old Town.

You're right Commander, Dubai is huge, I mean, it takes a whole 25 minutes to drive from one end to the other. Fee l free to organise an AD night C, or of course, if anyone in AD, wants to come here, you are more than welcome. I find AD a bit cramped personally.....

I can't believe people will only go if it's held in a particular area, what does it actually matter where it is...I assume you want to go cause you fancy meeting the people, not cause it's in some area...you just order a taxi, go and sit in it and tell the driver where to go, it's really all very simple.
