Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!
Bit dull on here at the moment.
It's now December so we can talk about Christmas without someone sneeringly pointing out that it isn't Christmas yet
What are your plans? I've got a work trip to New York next week and then it's two weeks in Blighty. Mostly at my parents' in Cambridge but will spend a few days in London to catch up with friends. Must say I'm keenly looking forward to it. The tree, decorations, mince pies, Christmas pudding (I LOVE Christmas pudding ) King's College choir, midnight service, massive lunch, long walks with the dogs, winding up the nephews, just being with the family and all that.

I'm not normally given to be overly sentimental about Christmas but as I haven't been back to the emerald isle in 16 months, I have to say I am really looking forward to it.
I'm taking about 25 days in total so it will be a total decompression, meeting family and friends, pints down the local, out and about in the general hustle and bustle. Can't wait

Re: Christmas, Christmas, Christmas!
We are staying for the first time.
My Mummy is over 20-27th which will be nice. I've got about 10-12 days off as well so lots of time to relax, enjoy the beautiful weather here and do some nice things with Mummy, which I'm really, really looking forward to.
Tree is already up, the good lady LOVES Christmas and whilst I have traditionally hated / severely disliked it, her excitement wears off on me so now I enjoy it with her and am happy to get swept up in the excitement and traditions we're making.

Always stay , great weather here and a week off from work suits .
Most of the unwashed leave so you can booze in peace without seeing too many felt tip eyebrows and blokes with no socks and painted on white trousers.

Back to the UK for about 5 days only! Looking forward to drinking copious amounts of booze, good pork, good chicken (never really gone for turkey) and plenty of festive treats (mince pies, pudding, lebkuchen cookies et al)

I'll be here.... working! Balls!
Taken too much leave this year as it is.
Will be in the office on the 25th and in the bar by lunchtime! Boxing day is unlikley to be too productive!

Heading home this Thursday. Job done, no more Doha for me, phew!
Taking the whole of December for my time. Hang out with the kids and do whatever. New Year out the way and its crack on with the new stuff.
All in all can't wait. I'm not a Christmas sort, definitely not Christian, but I'm going to enjoy it this year for sure.

I recently flew to Cairo in economy and sat next to some English EK birds on a 90% ticket. Pandemonium when one of them smudged her over-sized eyebrows down her face.

I'm really lost. I've tried but can't work this one out.
Lovely mate. I hate having to book Xmas day off as holiday but c'est la vie. Enjoy.

I've used all my annual leave as well but the boss usually lets me have Christmas Day off paid.
I'm thinking of having Christmas Eve and Boxing day off unpaid, I love this time of year!
We'll probably go to Jebel Ali Club on Christmas Eve as they usually hand out free mince pies and mulled wine, hope they haven't knocked that on the head now they've gone 'posh'
We've been to brunches on the big day for the last two years but we'll be spending it at home this time. Marmite on toast and liqueur chocolates for breakfast, slow cooked gammon with all the bobbins for dinner and cheese and pate for tea.
