Camel meat is available in all the butchers over here, and the heads are left hanging outside the butchers so you can tell how fresh the meat is.
Anybody ever tasted it, and how the heck would you cook it anyway?

Have tried it BBQ style, so difficult to assess the real taste of it as it was smothered with BBQ sauce. Also tried Ostrich at the same place.
Tastes like chicken.....

You would probably enjoy the Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi...Ostrich, Impala, Hartebeest, Giraffe, Crocodile, Zebra, Dik Dik, Wildebeest among others. My favourite is definitely Impala...yummy.

Vegetarians worst nightmare.Starts with the regular stuff. Beef, lamb, chicken, then goes onto the camel, ostrich, baby camel, veal. Very nice restaurant, it a little expensive, and all the staff were Kenyans.
Never tried the other stuff you mentioned, but last time I was in Kenya,we drove from Nairobi to Nakuru ( where my family live ) and stopped on the way for some 'game' burgers. Zebra apparently. Quite nice.

It's in the supermarket here, but I have no intention of trying it!
The idea makes me feel a bit nauseous, I don't know why!
