Thanks...I'm considering just appearing for about 4 months of the year mainly scattered thru the winter months as I have couple uk businesses to run, so do you think just turn up, make a few calls to the couple of contacts I have and hope to get a few bookings?... My longest continuous stay would be for about 6 weeks so trying to find out what the visa situation would be?.....

I can't see a problem doing what you want to do BUT where will you stay? Hotels will be a big expense.
