Belgian Beer cafe at DFC is fun, decent bar, wine and draft beers, lovely big pints of hooegaarden and small plates of whatever you fancy from the menu, only AED 175 or suchlike as well if you don't want too poncy.

2 1/2 years and done 4, but all this year. Yep, 12-hour drinking sessions really aren't advisable. But going again next weekend...

It all depends on the company and how much you can (or need to) insulate yourself from your fellow diners, surely. AD Golf Club was very civilised (and very quiet), Coopers is a good meat-feast and not too loud.
