Default British Comedy

is definately the best in my opinion, whilst I enjoyed Friends and the odd episode of Frasier I am definately in the camp of Brit is Best when it comes to comedy. Who's your favourite? Peter Kay?

favourites
Little Britain
Pyschoville
League of Gentlemen
Phoenix Nights
Max and Paddy

Norsk-also is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: British Comedy

The americans have had a couple of amazing comedians, Bill Hicks, George Carlin and of course Matt Stone and Trey Parker..very different humour, great social critics. Pizze Be Upon Them.

Bill Bailey
Eddie Izzard (well, his early days)
Jeremy Paxman
Psychoville/League of Gentlemen
Frankie boyle (Scottish..but yer'all the same)

Perhaps because I'm not English, might be a cultural thing..but I can't stand Peter Kay. And whats with this moronic Harry Hill guy winning best comedian awards? He's total rubbish

My personal faves are :-
Jack Dee
Billy Connolly
Rufus Hound
Dave Gorman
James Corden

In terms of sit-coms I can only think of a few really funny British shows like Gavin & Stacey and The Office. But I never fail to fall about laughing at some US ones like Scrubs, Two & A Half Men and Friends!
