Seriously? How many foreign commentators have you heard who pronounce British players' names (and most other proper nouns) correctly? It's bad all round.

However, I do remember an English commentator (I can't remember who) saying live one air of a foreign player: "Yes, we know it's pronounced [proper pronunciation], but we'll continue call him [bastardised pronunciation] anyway". Classic.
